A 15-year-old girl named Kanata Sorami joins the army and becomes part of a unit of five girls tasked with defending a fortress. The story takes place in a future where the land has fallen into quiet decline after enduring prolonged conflicts. Alongside their military duties, the girls perform music that echoes over abandoned towns and barren seas.
