Rakuko Kaise comes from a financially struggling background and pursues a career as a lawyer primarily to earn income. To support herself while attending law school, she works at a bar. After successfully completing her bar exam, she secures a position at a small law firm. There, she gains experience by handling cases that offer little financial reward.
