Songzang Xiezouqu

Lin Chu-sheng abandons her studies and home to work for a funeral director. Her first task involves a decaying body, and soon she is cleaning floors and preparing corpses. Though the work seems straightforward, there is much for her to learn. Much of her time is spent managing the feelings of the bereaved: a father struggling with his son’s suicide, two families of a deceased bigamist meeting for the first time, a mother resisting the loss of a child, and parents uncertain if their son’s remains will ever be found. Through these experiences, Lin encounters a wide spectrum of human emotion and reconsiders her own life and family.
