A mysterious saucer has been visible in the sky above Kiriya Lake for seven years, initially causing fear and speculation before becoming a minor tourist attraction and eventually fading from public attention. Nonoka Komiya, who once lived in the town, returns after spending seven years in Tokyo, her memories of the place hazy. The arrival of a cheerful girl named Noel prompts Nonoka to recall wishes she and four friends made together in an old observatory.
