Noriko experienced a breakup when her fiancé chose her older sister, Eiko, instead. They eventually married despite this issue. After some years and two daughters, Noriko became a single mother and moved back in with her family. She lives with Eri, Madoka, Eiko, and their aging mother. As Eri and Madoka face their own romantic challenges, the manga portrays the lives of these women.
