A young prince named Wein oversees the government of a struggling nation lacking resources, people, and military strength. Assisted by an aide named Ninym, he displays exceptional political talent while secretly hoping to abandon his duties and retire. His plan to sell the country and escape is complicated when the people begin to support him, making it hard to leave. The story follows his efforts to manage a failing government and the unforeseen challenges that arise.
