A high school student named Asakura Souji is unremarkable in most aspects of life, except for his proficiency in household tasks. During an incident on the school rooftop, he attempts to rescue a girl he doesn't know, shielding her from harm and believing he has died in the process. Instead, he awakens as an infant in a fantasy world. There, he discovers he is expected to serve as a butler.
