His current hectic routine and interactions with arrogant, high-achieving pilots add to his distress. He directs his irritation toward Rihito Takagami, the most attractive pilot his age. Despite their different roles—Rihito in the air and Daiki on the ground—the two encounter each other frequently, including in the cafeteria and hangar.
