A pizza delivery worker with little direction in life, Shuuhei becomes infatuated with Hitomi, a high school girl who once kissed him. Despite her lack of interest, he remains devoted. When she lists traits she finds attractive in men, one is the ability to play an instrument. Inspired, Shuuhei commits to learning the trumpet. As he delves into jazz music, he finds his life beginning to shift in unexpected ways.
