In modern-day Tokyo, a collection of vignettes portrays the lives of four women. Two of them, Touko and Chihiro, share a one-bedroom apartment. Another, Akiyo, works as a prostitute while longing for a college friend. Suzuki lives alone, contemplating love as she goes through her daily routine. The women's stories are separate, with only Touko and Chihiro sharing a living space. Their lives unfold independently in different parts of the city. Common themes include emotional strength, as each woman deals with jealousy, loneliness, and unrequited love. Although they live close to each other, Touko and Chihiro keep their emotions hidden, gradually unraveling behind their composed exteriors.
