A woman from the Edo period unexpectedly arrives in contemporary Japan and discovers the reincarnation of her deceased lover as a middle school student in Tokyo. He is uninterested in her and the narrative explores their tentative attempts to connect. Separately, a struggling member of a middle school baseball team turns to a witch for assistance in hitting a home run.
