Anne and other candy makers are working to complete their sugar candy before the First Holy Festival when an attack occurs. Lafalle, a fairy who is both attractive and perilous and has an unusual connection to Challe, invades the Paige Workshop and takes Anne and her fairy captive. Despite being imprisoned, Anne remains focused on meeting the festival deadline.
