Anne earns the rank of Silver Sugar Master but at a cost—Challe has been sold to Bridget Paige, daughter of the workshop’s leader. To free him, Anne goes to the Paige Workshop and agrees to work there in exchange for his release. She is given the task of reviving the struggling business, which is on the verge of closing.
