During the final years of the Sui Dynasty, widespread rebellion broke out across China due to the harsh rule of the imperial court. Li Yuan, the Duke of Tang, chooses to retreat to his home in Taiyuan to escape the dangerous political situation. At the same time, a young priestess foresees a white dragon, a sign of imperial destiny, connected to the Li family. Her attention focuses on the second son, Li Shimin.
