Mai aims to find a boyfriend at a summer festival but fails her test. To pass a retake and attend the festival, she asks Yono-kun, a top student, to tutor her. Initially intimidated by him, she discovers he is diligent and kind. He agrees to take her on a date to the festival if she passes.
