Suna no Shiro
砂の城
In 1944 France, a family welcomed a daughter, Natalie, and adopted a boy, Francis, on the same day. They grew up together and fell in love as teenagers. Natalie's parents died before they could approve the relationship, and her aunt, now her guardian, refused to support it. The couple attempted to run away and later faced a tragic outcome that led to a failed suicide. Both survived but were separated, unaware of each other's fate. Years later, Natalie discovers Francis is alive, married, and has a son. After enduring multiple hardships, she chooses to care for the boy, troubled by his likeness to Francis.
