Suzuki Tensei

A man working at a corporation decides to end his life after being captivated by a mysterious creature he sees moments before death. Hoping to be reborn as a cicada, he is instead reincarnated into various lives without achieving his desired outcome. Despite repeated attempts, he never obtains the "SSR" result of becoming a cicada. Eventually, his persistence angers a divine force, which curses him with immortality, leaving him unable to die.
