Asuka resides with her stepmother, stepbrother, and their shared father, enjoying a normal life until a car accident at age fifteen results in the father's death, witnessed by Asuka. Now seventeen and confined to a wheelchair, she believes her stepmother intends to kill her. Seeking assistance, Asuka reaches out to Satoko, a college student who becomes her summer tutor.
