Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

In a distant future, humans live underground in vast caves, unaware of the world above. In the village of Jiha, Simon, a quiet boy who digs for a living, finds a mysterious glowing item. Kamina, a bold young man with a strong personality, befriends Simon and starts a group called the Gurren Brigade with the goal of escaping the cave and reaching the surface, which many believe doesn't exist. The village leader opposes their plan and punishes them. When a catastrophe from above threatens the village, Simon, Kamina, Yoko, a girl with a large weapon, and Lagann, a small but durable robot, must act to save it. Their journey leads them to the surface, a dangerous and war-torn place where they must battle the Beastmen to help humanity.
