In an alternate 1600 Japan, ten years have passed since Oda Nobunaga unified the country. As he nears death, he declares that the strongest warrior will inherit his leadership. Disappointed generals each send their most powerful fighters to compete. The first battle features Honda Tadakatsu, a master of the spear backed by Tokugawa Ieyasu, against Miyamoto Musashi, a developing prodigy supported by Chosokabe Motochika.
