Tenkuu no Escaflowne

A high school girl named Hitomi Hoshino discovers a new world called Gaea after using tarot cards. There, she meets Van Fanel, a prince from the ruined kingdom of Fanelia. Together, they become involved in a conflict against the Zaibach forces, an empire seeking to conquer Gaea.
