Tenyaku-ryou no Majo

A province governed by an emperor and a bureaucratic system sends a young man from the mountains to serve as a military officer in the imperial capital. He discards his original name and adopts the name Hiren. There, he assists those who seek his help. He later works under Yukishiro, a commoner affiliated with the Chief Court Physician Bureau. She halts aristocratic plots involving poison, targeting those she deems harmful. Known as the Witch of the Chief Court Physician Bureau, she is relentless in her pursuit of enemies. When Hiren and Yukishiro receive information from trusted contacts about signs of poisoning, they begin an investigation.
