A city known as Paradigm City exists in a world where all memories were erased 40 years ago, leaving its people to rebuild their society from fragments of the past. Within this setting, Roger Smith acts as a negotiator, mediating between law enforcement, civilians, and criminals in dangerous scenarios. The remnants of the city's lost history include the MegaDeuses—massive robots, possibly built by the city's former residents or by the current population. When incidents of crime and chaos arise, Roger utilizes a powerful robot named THE BIG O to confront and resolve these threats.
