In this country, a divine being known as a "batsu" exists. Rei, a surreal and beautiful batsu, holds authority over Theo, their servant. This dynamic has been inherited through their family for generations. Over time, their relationship evolves into something deeper as Theo's longing to remain with Rei intensifies. Theo finds solace in the warmth of Rei’s presence. However, batsu age at a significantly faster rate than humans, meaning Theo will one day live beyond Rei’s lifespan.
