Matsuda Erika, known as Eri, has become independent and dependable due to her parents' lack of responsiveness. She is attentive to others' needs, often to the point of being seen as intrusive by some classmates. When a new student named Nogina Kaname joins her class, she is drawn to him. He speaks in broken sentences, shows minimal emotion, and appears distant. Eri feels an immediate urge to look after him, perceiving him as someone in need of care. The story also includes a separate one-shot titled "Kirai, Suki?" which explores additional character dynamics.
