In modern Japan, a mysterious condition affects people, causing cracks in what appear to be horns on their heads. Junio, a high school student suffering from an unknown and incurable illness, is hospitalized with a limited time to live. Since childhood, he has noticed a cracked "horn" on his head. The story includes eight additional chapters beyond the main narrative.
