Toji no Miko

Shrine maidens who use swords to exorcise "aratama," entities that pose a threat to the human world, have existed since ancient times. These young women, known as "Toji," wear school uniforms and carry swords. They function as part of the police force in a specialized unit called the "special religious service police squad." The government officially recognizes the Toji, allowing them to carry swords and perform official duties. Five schools across the country have been established for these girls to attend. While they live typical school lives, they also carry out their responsibilities by using their swords and abilities to combat threats and safeguard the public.
