A unit known as the Urban Legend Special Investigation Headquarters, Section 3 is tasked with investigating, verifying, and clarifying global urban legends. Shirou Tosh, referred to as Toshi-san, is particularly committed to uncovering the truth behind these legends. He works alongside Miyazono Nozomi, a rookie and occult enthusiast, as they investigate urban legends in the Reiwa era. Toshi assures Nozomi, "Don't worry, I won't die."
