On an April night in Tokyo, Kakeru Sorano, a university student, meets Koharu Fuyutsuki. She is lively, warm, and stands out from others, despite being blind. While Kakeru is reserved, Koharu remains optimistic and active, attending university, joining clubs, and forming friendships. She also dreams of launching fireworks, even though she cannot see them. Kakeru is puzzled by her aspirations but begins to consider how her presence might help him move forward.
