Traumerei

Individuals from diverse locations—Jakarta, Cameroon, the Iran-Iraq border, and Tokyo—find their lives intertwined through a broken piano known as "Valfaart." Their stories unfold across time and space, marked by moments of reflection and overlapping timelines. These experiences form a dream witnessed by the piano, entrusted to Traumerei. This is the third project by Shimada, who previously won the Tezuka Osamu Creative Award in 2008.
