Tripitaka Toriniku

Kaka, a girl with exceptional strength and combat skills, is devoted to protecting Genjou-sama, a gentle but weak priest who rescued her from a tiger. When poisoned water endangers their village, Genjou-sama departs for the capital to seek help. During his absence, demons attack, destroy the village, and turn the people Kaka was entrusted to care for into monkeys. She escapes to find Genjou-sama, only to discover a powerful and arrogant spirit has taken over the priest’s body. Kaka learns the Emperor has been replaced by a Demon King, and the spirit aims to restore order. He offers a deal: if she joins him on a journey to the capital and their mission succeeds, he will return Genjou-sama’s soul and release him from his body. Kaka must decide whether to accept the offer.
