The narrator becomes involved with Elana, a woman whose engagement to Prince Alephaldo is canceled. The following day, he is exiled with her and they are married, despite having spent no time together beforehand. He believed their life in exile in a nearby country would be quiet and uneventful. However, things may not be as simple as he imagined. This is his account of living as the husband of an exiled villainess.
