Tsurikichi Sanpei

A young and optimistic boy with a natural talent for fishing, he compensates for his lack of experience with an exceptional instinct for the sport. Living in the mountainous area of Akita prefecture, where the environment makes fishing difficult, he trains and competes with the support of his grandfather, a skilled fishing rod craftsman.
