A maid named Dian takes Lady Selene's place to avoid an unwanted marriage and goes to the isolated Evenhart Castle under Selene's identity. There, she seeks the Margrave's help, believed to be a descendant of the famous knight Sir Evenhart, whom Dian admires greatly. Despite his striking appearance, the Margrave is very reserved. He allows Dian to stay for a short time. The story explores whether their hidden truths will come to light and if a connection might develop between them.
