This manga is a coming-of-age love story and is considered a prototype for "Initial D." It includes a scene where the protagonist's car, an AE86 Sprinter Trueno, races against a Z32 Fairlady Z driven by a love rival on public roads. The final chapter of the only released volume notes the completion of the "Summer / Encounter Arc," with no further volumes published. The female lead appears briefly in the Initial D 3rd Stage anime.
