Pom is unable to perform his duties because his partner, Leaf, refuses to create stars. Without Leaf's cooperation, Pom is unable to fulfill his role, putting both of their souls at risk. The story explores whether Pom can assist Leaf in confronting her painful history and fears in order for them to carry out their responsibilities and gain divine approval.
