During a single day in summer vacation, a group of boys attempt to watch a fireworks show from a lighthouse to determine whether the fireworks appear round or flat from the side. At the same time, one of the boys, Norimichi, gets an unexpected invitation from Nazuna, the girl he likes, to run away with her.
