Umizaru

A 19-year-old rookie navigation officer named Daisuke Senzaki works on the ship Nagare. He struggles with a past trauma that makes him reluctant to look away from lives in danger, even when doing so puts his own at risk. The story explores the challenges he faces and his development from a basic navigation officer into someone known as Umizaru.
