Aimee is left to manage her late father’s cake shop and care for her son, Toby, after her parents die. Toby’s father, Jed, was a skilled chef when he left Aimee but has since become a successful TV chef and restaurant owner. Aimee had no desire to reconnect with him after his departure. However, to help Toby, who is battling leukemia, she must seek his help. Jed is unaware of Toby’s existence and Aimee’s request forces him to confront the son he never knew he had.
