A man named Weiss sees a girl being sold as a slave and recognizes her as a rare High Elf. He buys her and takes her in, deciding to raise her as his daughter. Unfamiliar with parenting, he struggles but works hard to care for her. The girl, who was injured and mute, begins to recover. She speaks her first word—"Lily"—and is given that name. Weiss, now acting as a father, focuses on helping Lily get into a magic school.
