Hans awakens inside Vantablack Ring, a game he has completed many times, but now as a minor character. To avoid the monster attack, he decides to stay near the hero, Kadith, who is quickly killed in battle. Upset, Hans searches for other heroes but discovers that each one meets the same end, with their abilities transferring to him. His original plan to remain unnoticed no longer viable, Hans must consider taking on the role of the hero and saving the world himself.
