Ritsu, an anime-loving girl with no romantic experience, is particularly fond of fictional male characters who face misfortune. She encounters a male student from her school who is dressed as a girl and experiences a painful emotional rejection. Observing his distress, Ritsu feels a sudden, unanticipated connection to him.
