Tsuyoshi, a privileged Japanese teenager, is sent to Korea by his grandfather, who reveals their hidden Korean heritage. Upset by the sudden move, Tsuyoshi meets Kang Be-Ri during a chance taxi ride at the airport. She becomes his neighbor, and the two clash due to their differing attitudes. The story explores whether they can overcome their initial friction and if Tsuyoshi can come to terms with his new life.
