A young woman begins her first experience living alone, securing a place despite its reputation for supernatural occurrences. Strange phenomena like moving items and tapping sounds don't deter her from enjoying her independence. However, her solitude is interrupted when she finds a cat-like boy wearing colorful attire already living in her apartment. His name is Kurogane, a creature known as a Yokai. Though not human, he is expected to contribute to household duties like any other tenant. The two form an unconventional living arrangement, navigating daily life together under a shared lease.
