Evie, who has been evicted, spends a night in a hotel suite where she works as a cleaner, allowed by her boss as a special favor. Early the next morning, she wakes to a kiss and the presence of an attractive man. A camera flashes, and a photographer flees. The man, identified as the hotel owner Rio, is visibly disturbed by the situation. He questions Evie about what occurred and then proposes a plan, culminating in his declaration of an engagement to her.
