A long time ago, a set of twins was born, but because multiple births were seen as bad omens, one of them, a girl, was killed and buried beneath a mulberry tree using a millstone. Unable to reincarnate due to an incomplete spirit, her soul remained trapped in the world. To pass into the afterlife, she must gather 108 distinct forms of human suffering and worldly longing.
