Warera Contactee

A disinterested office worker reconnects with an unusual childhood friend who has been building a rocket alone. Kanae, feeling unenthusiastic about her daily routine, runs into Kazuki, a former classmate who has been secretly working on a spacecraft. Initially discouraged by his ambitious plan, she eventually joins him in finishing the project. Their collaboration is linked to a shared memory of witnessing a UFO during their elementary school years. The series was nominated for the 11th Manga Taishou Awards in 2018.
