In 2010, in a village in N Prefecture, Ao, who relocated there with her family for a redevelopment initiative, has grown accustomed to village life, spending time with her close friends Mitsuru and Sayoko. As the annual Yui-gaeshi festival approaches, Ao makes a statement: "I want to see the true identity of Lord Yui." This declaration marks the beginning of the unraveling of their tranquil existence. The events that follow raise questions about the nature of horror. The story explores these uncertainties through a rural setting, as the characters confront the unknown.
