Homura Shiraki, a fourth-year university student, moves in with Sou Watase, a man unable to go outside due to an allergy to ultraviolet rays. Homura takes on the role of an investigative assistant, acting on Sou’s behalf. Together, they become involved in a mysterious case, following clues provided by the silent voices of the deceased.
