A high school student named Sei, feeling unfulfilled by his monotonous life, jumps from a rooftop in a desperate act. Rather than dying, he awakens in an unfamiliar world where everyone possesses wings. His lack of wings draws widespread surprise and confusion. Amid the commotion, a girl with black wings named Sakura helps him. She resides in a group of individuals whose wings are considered less capable.
